Withersfield Charity 4s 2025
A great day was had by all who attended the Withersfield Charity 4s on 22nd June. It was a hot day and the feedback from the players was amazing. The venue was a real treat and the floor bowled very well. Withersfield worked very hard that day to put on a good show and hopefully raise some money which is expected to be around £1350
There was lots to do apart from bowls with a target mat competition going on as well as some prize draws. The raffle was well supported with 100 prizes given away and ticket sale earned £500.
The cafe served hot and cold drinks with home made cakes and James and Lisa had the hard job of cooking the BBQ with meat supplied by Kedington Butchers.
Withersfield have already started planning for next year and hope to attract more teams next time.

Well played Brockley who played solid all day to take home the trophy.

Unlucky this time Ellesmere but still a great achievement to reach the final.
Target Mat
The outstanding winning score of 44 was achieved by Jack Tribble of Lavenham to take the £30 prize money and Brockley won the team event with 80 points.

The Bury Pairs this year was won by Lisa Edmead and Stuart McNeil.
The day itself was enjoyed by all and as we started from scratch things ran smoothy. This event was also a fund raiser for the league and after costs we raised £509.50 which will cover costs including this website. So many thanks to all who contributed with mat donations and generally helping out on the day it was much appreciated.

Well done to Kevin Salmon and Ellen Grube for finishing as runners up.
But they did win the Cooke trophy for being the top pair in the group stages.

A great Day had by all and with the 'Win the end' format, blockers and strategy are key . A big well done to Belstead for winning but the real winners are the charity which this year is the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the event raised a £1000.

A big thankyou to Cockfield for hosting this annual event which we look forward to every year and a £1000 for the Air Ambulance could make a real big difference to someone.
